MEET THE DIRECTOR
Dear Readers, Inquirers, and Friends,
Welcome to RE/Minding Ministries and to its network of supportive participants, The Sacred
Circle. An ancient Saint first said, “God is the circle whose center is everywhere and whose
circumference is nowhere.” At its most basic or essential level, the Sacred Circle simply is, apart
from anything any of us may do or think or believe. It designates “the Spiritual Reality that
Universal Divine Love connects all of us together as One, by Its very nature.”
At its more practical level, The Sacred Circle is an intentionally
inclusive spiritual and educational community-without-borders.
It is founded on the sacred understanding that at the Center of our
life experiences we are all One, and it offers teaching and training
that enhance life for self and all while honoring individual integrity.
While rooted in and growing from a non-judgmental, non-excluding
understanding and practice of the Christian Faith, persons of any
religion or none are unconditionally welcomed, and will find nour-
ishing refreshment and growth through our classes, workshops,
E-connections, and prayers. We enrich each other. “Where there’s
Light, call it Light.”
Our Statement of Purpose is five-fold:
RE/Minding Ministries and The Sacred Circle Community exist to
Celebrate the radical incarnation of Divine Love in human form (God’s Spirit lives in all persons),
Promote the wisdom and practice of unconditional love among all people (Life works best
as we honor and respect everyone, including ourselves),
Support persons in their own spiritual journeys (All paths to God lead to God),
Assist persons who seek healing and growth-toward-Wholeness in body, mind, spirit, and relationships (We’re not in this alone), by
Providing practical tools for positive change. (We can all be better, happier, and healthier
than we are now, so why not?)
Today, perhaps even more than ever before, selfish, greedy me-isms and ugly, divisive us and
them-isms bid for our allegiance and separate us from one another. But life works best when we
open ourselves to harmony, unity, and balance, both inwardly and outwardly. Harmony, Unity,
Balance = HUB, the Center of Life. Supporting one another we can learn to dwell within this holy
Center more deeply and fully day by day. So let me repeat my welcoming invitation to you just a bit differently: “Well, come to The Sacred Circle.” We are all connected. It’s where we belong!
May God’s transforming power work within you, for positive change in you and in our world.

Ronald Shonk, M.Div., M.Ed., is an ordained Lutheran Minister, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Reiki Master. He has served as a parish pastor and as a chaplain in university, hospital, hospice, and long-term care settings. Ron’s
passion to relate faith resources to the areas of healing and personal growth has been informed, nourished, and encouraged by studies and associations with Agnes Sanford, Drs. Herbert Benson, Lawrence LeShan, Kenneth Bakken, Carl and Stephanie Simonton, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and many others.He is a writer and a gifted teacher.
With Dwayne, his life-partner since 1990, he resides in both Washington and British Columbia. He prays a lot.
